“We Didn’t Mean To Make Fun Of Games Journalism, It Can Be Very Loving When It Wants To” Says GOG
Online Games Distributor and Sales Platform GOG (good old games) has done the right thing today and apologized to us in the games media after posting a disgusting and disparaging tweet this week mocking our entire profession.
The original tweet in question which has now been thankfully deleted (after we had a stern talking to GOG) had the gall to include a GIF from the game POSTAL 2 of a headstone proclaiming games journalism to be “dead”. The image also included a reference to the evil abusive nazi hate movement GAMERGATE with the user relieving himself on the gravesite.

GOG was quoted as saying:
It is completly our own fault, the games journalists were in the right to attack us to the point where we were forced to apologise. If we had just been better people, not disrespected them and did as they asked this wouldn’t have happened in the first place. It’s no wonder they were abusive to us, we had this coming.
Hopefully going forward this sort of thing won’t happen again and GOG will leARN TO KEEP IT’S FUCKING MOUTH SHUT.
